Old buildings are seemingly silent, but they resonate with memories and lives vanished long ago; this is where they get their distinctive atmosphere from. Watch the video recording of a concert in the former MEZ factory hall in Židenice.
The project Silent buildings originated from the initiative of Brno art school students. The empty factory hall inspired them to perform their own compositions outside the conservatory and academy and a majority of the interpretations are unique. The Brno conservatory, Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts and the Vienna conservatory met in a place which we probably pass every day. Listen to the concert.
