The Slovak group Fallgrapp has released their second album V hmle (In the Fog). They are performing the concert version in Brno’s Fléda club with an eight-man line-up with a trio of violins and drums. They will be introduced in the stage by the ambient music duo Himalayan Dalai Lama. The will end with the Slovak producer Fvlcrvm.
Fallgrapp, Himalayan Dalai Lama and the Fvlcrvm project are linked by the independent Slovak publisher Gergaz, which has recently been behind most of what is new on the electronic music scene there. The first official tour in Fallgrapp’s history represents a new chapter in the history of the group. Unlike their debut album Rieka (2014), for which the group won prestigious Radio_Head Awards in four categories, the disc V hmle (2017) was created with the awareness that it would be played live with a multi-member ensemble. The sole author of the music and most of the arrangements is the musician Jureš Líška. From its first track Ouagadougou the album V hmle draws inspiration from a more exotic musical world. “Originally I want ed the introductory piece to be Vietor, but then I said to myself that I should spice up the album from the beginning and put the African rhythms there. So that the listener’s expectations are a little challenged and to make it immediately clear that this album is different to our debut,” revealed Jureš Líška in his interview with the server Hudba.sk.
The first tour of Fallgrapp is supported by the project of the Brno duo Kryštof Matěj and David Novotný, Himalayan Dalai Lama, formed of a mix of electronic music and live instruments with a fusion of trap, hip hop a trip hop.
The concert will take place 25 May 2017 from 7 p.m. in Brno’s Fléda club.
