Violinist and singer Jitka Šuranská recorded a new album, accompanied by mandolinist Martin Krajíček and double bass player Marian Friedl. The launch will take place in the Brno club Stará Pekárna.
In her projects, violinist, singer and member of the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra Jitka Šuranská focuses on the folklore of Moravian Slovakia In 2005, she received the Anděl Award for her album Písňobraní which she recorded with Jiří Plocek. Later, Šuranská focused on her solo career. In 2013, she recorded her first solo album Nězachoď slunečko, for which she received the Anděl Award. In 2014, she founded her own band with Martin Krajíček and Marian Friedl.
Eleven songs were recorded in the Studio V in Zlín and produced by Slovak musician Stano Palúch. The concept of the album was based on the folk songs of Eastern Moravia, arranged directly for the trio. The folk songs are complemented by songs written by Marian Friedl. The album Divé husy will be launched on 3 October 2016 from 8:00 p.m. in the Stará Pekárna Club.
