The Czech-Slovak alternative evenings at Fléda are back. As part of this the Slovak group Longital are performing a live version of their new album Divoko. The Slovak trio will present the indie-folk group Bratři Orffové.
The group Longital is setting out on a tour with their new disc Divoko, which came out last autumn. The sound recordist Ondřej Ježek helped to create their album. Musically Longital marks a return to an acoustic aesthetic, however frequently using the organic sound of the instruments. “After six years of waiting we finally got the new composition Longital. It is no surprise to me at all that this disc is excellent. It was put together in the unique landscape of the White Carpathians, which is reflected in these compositions,” adds Ondřej Bača, director of the Fléda club.
The Czech musical scene will be represented by the alternative group Bratři Orffové. The group is from Krnov and in their lyrics they reflect the poetry of the small town and generally draw on the rich domestic song-writing tradition. The main hero of their lyrics is the typical citizen of a small town, Serža Vantóš, who tries to make sense of the world around him. This folk-rock group named after the famous composer of Carmina Burana brought out their debut album Bingriwingri in 2005, and their second album Šero had phenomenal success at the Anděl awards in 2013. They won the title for group of the year, album of the year and the Apollo music critics’ prize for best album of the year.
The concert will take place 1 February 2017 from 8 p.m. in the Fléda club.
