The National Theatre Brno Ballet is preparing for an open-air performance. The Bishop's Court will host the traditional Summer Ballet Cocktail.
The programme of the Summer Ballet Cocktail is composed of fragments of classical and contemporary ballet repertoire. Spectators can look forward to a pas de deux from the ballet compositions Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty by P.I. Tchaikovsky, Giselle by A. Ch. Adam, or La Bayadère by L. Minkus, as well as choreographic miniatures of Barbora Bielková under the title Duality, or Irreconcilable by Uladzimir Ivanou, which was created for this year's Choreographic Studio of the NdB Ballet. The highlight of the evening will be the choreography of Johan Inger, which was premiered by the NdB last spring – Walking Mad. Nine dancers from the ensemble dance to the famous music of Bolero by Maurice Ravel.
The Summer Ballet Cocktail is announced to take place from 30 August to 2 September 2019 at the Bishop's Court.
