As part of a double concert in Brno’s Melodka club the alternative rock group Souperman and the rock group Abraxas will be performing.
Brno’s alternative rock group Souperman has christened its first album Nekřičela [She Didn’t Scream]. As a guests Zdeněk Kluka, cofounder and leader of the group Progres 2 and member of Čankišou and Jarek Malý, guitarist from the group Dizzy, will be appearing. Souperman was formed in 2011, founded by the guitarist, composer and lyricist Robert Jančík. The group currently performs with a line-up of Robert Jančík, Jarda Šístek and Mirek Křenek.
The rock group Abraxas was founded in 1976 as the successor to the Prague group Abraam. Over the years the make-up of the group has changed several times. In the original line-up of Abraxas there was Slávek Janda – guitar and vocals; Miroslav Imrich - vocals; Ivan Sekyra - guitar; Jiří Cendra - keyboards; Antonín Smrčka – bass guitar and Ivan Pelíšek on percussion. In the beginning there music was strongly influenced by Pink Floyd. Later their sound and stage show changed with the rock that came out of the new wave at the start of the eighties.
The concert is to be held on 19 January 2017 from 7:30 p.m. in the music club Melodka.
