The Wallachian group starts their birthday tour in the Fléda club. The Třínohý pes (Three-legged Dog) Tour carries the same name as the album they are releasing to mark their thirtieth anniversary.
The unmistakable style of the group Mňága a Žďorp appeals to Czech listeners of all generations. The group has now recorded their thirteenth album Třínohý pes, on which they worked with the producer Milan Cimfe. “We have been preparing the album for two years. In the home studio, at concerts, and on retreats. For me it was the best recording of my life. With Milan we put it together in no time. Several places on the disc were really improved and in many songs he sang vocals. A good producer always becomes another member of the group during recording and this time that was one-hundred per cent the case,” says the singer Petr Fiala. The album Třínohý pes contains 10 new songs and a range of other musicians appear as guests. Vocals were recorded by Nikola Mucha, and choruses were sung by Roman Holý, Tereza Černochová and Matěj Ruppert from Monkey Business. Mňága also brought in two members of the group Buty, the keyboard player Milan Nytra and Petr Vavřík.
Mňága a Žďorp became more widely known to listeners in 1991 with the disc Made In Valmez (1991). The hits Hodinový hotel, Písnička pro tebe and Klec v kleci ensured them a definitive place in the history of Czech popular music. Since that time the group has built up a large fan base, which has already twice contributed to a crowd-founding campaign for the recording of albums: first in the case of Made in China, and the second time for Třínohý pes, for which they collected almost twice the amount needed. The anniversary concert of the group Mňága a Žďorp will take place 9 March 2017 from 8 p.m. in the Fléda club.
