The world-renowned mezzo-soprano and native of Brno Magdalena Kožená will perform in the NOSPR concert hall in Katowice. Katowice is, just like Brno, a UNESCO City of Music. As part of the recital, which will take place under the auspices of Brno and Katowice, Kožená will be accompanied by her husband – Sir Simon Rattle.
The song recital by Magdalena Kožená and her husband – Sir Simon Rattle, will take place in the NOSPR concert hall on 29 October 2019, starting from 7:00 p.m. Rattle will accompany Kožená on the piano. Along with them will also appear a chamber ensemble formed directly for this particular evening: Giovanni Guzzo / violin, Rahel Maria Rilling / violin, Amihai Grosz / viola, Kaspar Zehnder / flute and Andrew Marriner / clarinet. The recital will feature songs by Chausson, Stravinsky, Strauss, Ravel, Brahms, Janáček and Dvořák. The recital takes place under the auspices of Brno and Katowice, UNESCO Cities of Music.
