International Guitar Festival and Courses Brno enters its 33rd year. Featuring the best guitarists from Europe, Japan and South America. The festival will open with a night of flamenco from Andalusia with dancer Carmen Cortéz and guitarists Gerardo Nuñez and José León, accompanied by singer Antonio Carbonell.
The 20th annual international guitar competition, GUITARTALENT´24, will also be held during the festival, with the winners of the two categories receiving valuable concert guitars by Japanese master guitar maker Masaki Sakurai - Kohno and Czech master Jan Schneider. The featured artists will also teach classes in the festival's courses. The festival itself kicks off on 28 July at 8:00 p.m. at the Bishop's Court with a night of real flamenco from Andalusia - dancing by Carmen Cortéz. The other concerts will be from Monday 29 July to Friday 2 August at the New Town Hall and the Red Church.
The line-up includes the best guitarists from Europe, Japan and South America. The festival will feature Jorge Caballero (Peru), Gerardo Nuñez (Spain), Jérémy Jouve (France), Eduardo Fernandez (Uruguay), Daniel Marques (Brazil), Vladislav Bláha (Czech Republic) and Ramiro Martinéz (Mexico).
