The Ensemble Opera Diversa are opening their new season. Their first concert includes a performance of the New Miniatures by Bohuslav Martinů as arranged by Jiří Teml and three songs by Jan Novák.
The première of Jiří Teml’s arrangement of New Miniatures by Bohuslav Martinů will be complemented by three songs from Jan Novák. The songs appear on his upcoming CD Jan Novák vol. 2, which includes other pieces: Choreae vernales, Carmina Sulamitis and Odarum concentus. Because the Ensemble Opera Diversa focuses on little known or original Czech compositions, their repertoire also includes Václav Kaprál’s Lullabies (Uspávanky) for mezzo-soprano and chamber orchestra, a highly acclaimed work in its day. The concert will be performed by the following artists: mezzo-sopranos Lucie Hilscherová and Kristýna Vaculová, conductor Gabriela Tardonová and the Ensemble Opera Diversa.
The première will take place on Tuesday, 20 September 2016 from 7.00 p.m. in the Reduta Theatre.
