Today’s festival of Romani culture will feature Kale, Gejza Horváth and band, the dance group Merci as well as others.
The multi-cultural festival is named after Romani jazz guitar player Django Reinhardt and its main idea is to bring the music and culture of the Romani minority closer to the majority in society. Besides the Romani music and dance groups, there will also be the projection of documentaries, a presentation of the Romani newspaper Romano hangos and the degustation of traditional meals at the festival. The bands you can hear there are Kale, Mixes vocal band, Gejza Horváth and band, the Funky Chicken, Radek Čonka’s band and others. Django Fest will take place today, on 16 November at 6.30 p.m. at the club Fléda.
