After three years, the Slovak band Billy Barman released a new album. The originally indie rock band now prefers electronics in its production. The opening band will be Himalayan Dalai Lama.
The first single entitled Mladým chýbá vojna was released by Billy Barman already last year. When recording, the band was joined by guest drummer Ivan Kormaňák. The result was the longest song that the band has ever recorded. The album Dýchajúce obrazy was released on 18 November by label Slnko Record. The launch will take place on 29 November from 8:00 p.m. at the Fléda Club.
The history of the Billy Barman band dates back to 2008, when it was founded by Juraj Podmanický and Jozef Vrabel. The band first drew attention with their debut album Noční jazdci. With their second album Modrý jazyk, they rocked clubs in the Czech Republic and Slovakia and earned the position of one of the most popular current Slovak bands. Billy Barman performed at major music festivals such as Grape or Pohoda. For their work, they won in five categories of the Radio_Head Awards organised by Rádio_FM. "On their third album, Billy Barman show that they are not afraid of heading in multiple musical directions, experimenting with arrangements, brass instruments or building a whole song on vocals. Despite that, they still work with the typical poetic nature of their lyrics," says programme director of the Fléda Club Ondřej Bača.
