The B-SIDE BAND from Brno is preparing for an anniversary concert with guests such as Vojtěch Dyk, Tereza Černochová, Matěj Ruppert, Roman Dragoun and others.
The B-SIDE BAND was founded in 2006 by the trumpeter and bandleader Josef Buchta. The band is composed of 18 instrumentalists. In 2007, the B-SIDE BAND toured Czech prisons with the performance "Ivánku, kamaráde" by Petr Čtvrtníček a Jiří Lábus and in 2008 they re-premiered the legendary Jazzové Mše (Jazz Mass) by Jaromír Hnilička. Since 2010, they have been playing mainly in connection with singer, actor and performer Vojtěch Dyk, who will also participate in the anniversary concert. In 2013, the band did a Christmas tour with vocalist Kurt Elling (USA), winner of the Grammy Award. Guest singers and instrumentalists, who worked with the band during the last ten years of its existence, will perform at the concert. The concert and the CD launch will take place on 18 December at 7:30 p.m. at the Metro Music Bar.
