The Prague band Rí Ra was formed at the beginning of 2008. The name of the band comes from the Irish ríra, so good fun. The band has in its repertoire songs and ballads in English, French and Irish, and instrumental jigs and reels played on whistle, classical and Irish flute, violin, guitar, bass guitar and bodhrán or cajón. The players offer Irish music in their conception, they do not strictly adhere to the harmony and melodies of the so-called Celtic music, but they enrich the sound with jazz confessions, a tread on the bass guitar, improvisations on an Irish theme. With the arrival of a new guitarist, a jazz solo also appears here and there.
Klára McMahon - vocals, Daniela Vránová - flutes, Linda Jarošová - violin, Michal Rudolf Cádra - guitar, vocals, Pavel Brejcha - bodhrán, brumle, eggs, chanter, vocals, David Ryšánek - bass guitar
