Guitarist, music composer, renowned author of symphonic and stage music Michal Pavlíček is heading to Brno. As a soloist, he is currently preparing the Faces tour, which features his new and older guitar compositions from his last four solo albums, all in a new guise with the Unique Orchestra under the baton of Alex Aslamas. In this varied program, which will be presented in Brno's Sono Center on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 8 p.m., other cult compositions will be performed by guests Bára Basiková, Monika Načeva and Radek Škarohlid.
He is mainly known as a prominent personality and co-author of Prague Selection (1980). He was the founder and author of music for Stromboli (1986) and Big Heads (1992). Since 1993, he has been active in the formation of BSP, and his song Země tóryná with lyrics by Ivan Hlas became a significant hit of the nineties. As an author and performer, he participated in many CDs by, for example, Zuzana Michnová, Monika Načeva, Bára Basiková, Roman Dragoun, Kamil Střihavek, Richard Muller and others.
Michal Pavlíček: "For me, music is a horizon full of fantasy. I'm not a one-track musician, pigeonholed into just one style. I like the different faces of music, and this perception of it gives me space to roam freely across genres, to connect them, but at the same time to create my unmistakable signature and my original face."
