OSKAR PETER "70"
Remembering Marsyas
6.10. 2022 Prague, Lucerna Music bar, 10.10 2022 Brno, KC Semilasso
Folk - rock music legend, lyricist and singer Oskar Petr will celebrate his seventieth birthday this year. This Czech hitmaker has been known to his fans since the 1970s, where he co-founded the famous band Marsyas together with Zuzana Michnova and Petr Kalandra. He also used his blues and jazz sensibilities in Martin Kratochvíl's Jazz Q formation. He played with a number of performers and groups, for example with the Prague Selection. In 1980, he emigrated, where he devoted himself mainly to video, photography and composition. After his return, he recorded several solo albums and also provided some of his greatest hits to other artists. The group Lucie, for example, had a mega success with the Oscar song Medvídek, David Koller then sang another big Oscar hit, Chci v to tos spát, or Aneta Langer's song Hříšná třely kladla mótylí. Oskar Petr is a musician with a big, distinctive voice, and his songs, in addition to unmistakable lyrics, have a strong authentic impression.
Oskar Petr will celebrate his jubilee with two exclusive concerts together with his guests, first on October 6 in Lucerna music bar in Prague and then in Brno on October 10 in KC Semilasso. David Koller has also promised to attend the Prague concert, another Slovak legend - Pavol Hammel - will arrive in Brno for a change.
