Come and experience a Christmas concert of this already legendary Czech folk group focusing on Scottish and Irish folk ballads and songs, instrumental compositions and dances. The group was founded in 1976 at the Jan Neruda Grammar School in Prague. The group's original repertoire was a mixture of folk and country, later American and British ballads, which brought the group to the folk music of the British Isles. Almost 30 different people passed through the group, until its current 11-member composition crystallized. At the beginning of the 21st century, the sound of Asonance got a more modern guise with the advent of percussion instruments and the advent of more rock arrangements of folk songs.
