A song for Viktorka

28/03/25, 19:30 / Káznice

The multi-genre stage project is based on Seifert's poem "Song about Viktorka" and develops this poetic composition as a love letter by Seifert Němcová. The decision to use the letter as the main line of the project was contributed by the iconicity of Božena Němcová's correspondence, the fact that Němcová herself embodied a number of very personal experiences in her correspondence, and also the fact that the letter is a symbolic bridge in communication between people distant in space - and here also in time.

A tragicomic theatre revue with dances about extraordinary human life. A multi-genre production that works with the musical legacy of composer Jaroslav Ježek (1906-1942). The composer of classical and popular music, who died at the age of just 35, left behind a number of orchestral, chamber and song compositions. His ability to compose classical music, as well as theatre and film music, which has almost become popular, makes him one of the leading composers of Czech music of the 20th century.
