an Kavka is a jazz pianist and a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice.
With the group Ostrich Quartet, he won several awards: 1st place at the Prague Jazz Fruit (2014), 2nd place at the Krokus Jazz Festival competition (2014), 3rd place at the Krokus Jazz Festival competition (2015).
In 2019, with his debut album "Past Stories", he placed 2nd in the Czech Radio national poll for the best Czech jazz record of 2018.
In Ponava, he will play jazz standards in a special way in a quartet with musicians from Brno.
