JWQ - Janoušek-Wróblewski Quartet

JWQ is an acoustic quartet combining improvised music with compositions from the workshop of both wind instruments. The quartet was originally fundamentally influenced by the New York jazz downtown (Sex Mob, Medeski-Martin-Wood, Bobby Previte, Ray Anderson, Marty Ehlrich), over time this direct inspiration partially disappeared and the quartet became an ensemble stealing from so many sources to shame. The compositions are eclectic, the music draws on various jazz and other traditions, everything is connected by total improvisation.
