audio-visual-dance performance
The story begins in an unspecified future, for example sometime around 2034. The digital world is increasingly penetrating people's lives. Not only is it already a full-fledged part of them, but it is even starting to have a slight advantage over bare reality. The border between reality and virtual reality is disappearing more and more. Humanity has also mastered the intersection of biology and cybernetics to such an extent that genetic engineering has even led to the cloning of selected individuals (Own Brother). The state of society and its burning questions that lack answers (Bells, Poster Girl). As well as personal observations, cries and feelings of loneliness (Secret, Baggage).
The process of change is usually long-term. The only thing that accelerates the transformation or transformation of anything into anything is an explosion or something like a big bang (Big Bang). In the beginning there was NOTHING and in a split second SOMETHING happened. The transformation of matter, the rearrangement of elementary particles, the creation of a timeline and the flow of time in one direction.
But thanks to this song, from which the title of the whole performance is derived, we will symbolically "fall" in time to the present. And we will briefly tell a story from the past, because it is based on the content of the Tata Bojs album called Nanoalbum and it is from 2004. However, the theme of the album is chillingly current. The main character is, among others, a virus and a schizophrenic scientist who dedicated his whole life to science until it became fatal for him. Here comes a part from the previously presented performance Nanopicture (Elišce, C.V.A.N., Healer., Virtual duet, Sick, Diminished, Awakening).
The song Awakening can be another symbolism of a kind of "time bridge" between the illusory present - past - future, or our actual real present. Waking up from a dream to the reality of 2034. And we're back. And key social issues such as minorities, majorities and gender issues (Minoritní, Girls' Association) are still being addressed. For the song Minoritní, we count on mass audience interaction. A slight doubt about the meaning of life and its existence, however, with a positive tone (Happier). A symbol of digitization in reference to its promoters and pioneers of electronic music, the German group Kraftwerk (Kraftwerk in Saint Tropez). Ones and zeros are still talking... Minimalist scenic concept, austerity of movement, dehumanization and preparation for the "grand finale".
The song 220 Travolta kind of makes you forget everything we've seen so far. It challenges and mocks the fatality, coldness and a certain pathos of our story of time and space travel and shows the banality of discovering that JOY can always be found in dance and movement.
