Always charming, always ready to defeat a giant or rescue a princess, and he doesn't mind the fact that he lives in Žižkov in Prague. The only thing is, he's not much one for chasing mice and prefers to learn French. The mice are delighted, but the landlady isn't and she throws the cat out. And so he sets out on a journey of adventure to France accompanied by some children, as this opera fairy-tale was written especially with them in mind by the important contemporary Czech composer, Jiří Teml, who has a wealth of experience writing music for younger audiences. In addition to writing compositions for children's choirs, he has also written two children's operas – The Emperor's New Clothesand The Devil and Kate. Puss in Boots is an ideal starting point into the world of opera. The fairy-tale lasts for an hour and is performed by adult singers as well as a children's choir, creating a unique link between the stage and the young audience. The production is designed for children aged between 4 and 9 years old.
