Last year, Brno – the UNESCO City of Music launched a multi-year project that aims to map and make visible Brno's amateur music scene. This year, the project focuses on folklore ensembles. The culmination of the Year of Folklore Ensembles will be a joint happening that will take place on June 6 in the afternoon and will fill the entire historical center of Brno. For this occasion, the project will connect with the already traditional event Brno dances and sings, which has long been trying to present the folk culture of the ethnographic region of Brno.

Accompanied by brass band Střeličáci, the procession will go from Mečová Street, through Dominikánské náměstí, Zámečnická Street, nám. Svobody, Masarykova street, Orlí street, Zelný trh, Radnická street and finally head to the Old Town Hall.
