Book by Antoine Reich. Actes des rencontres organiseds à l'occasion du 250e anniversaire de sa naissance (Antonín Rejcha. Proceedings of the meetings organized on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of his birth), which was edited for publication by Hervé Audéon, Jana Franková and Herbert Schneider for OLMS Verlag, brings together fifteen studies based on conferences organized in France and the Czech Republic on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Antonín Rejcha (1770–1836). It brings the latest results of research into the composer's musical and music-theoretical work, as well as his thoughts and the reception of his legacy. He thus creates a new perspective on the still little-known early 19th century, which nevertheless gave rise to many great composers such as Hector Berlioz, Franz Liszt and César Franck, all of whom were also Rejch's pupils. The book will be presented by Jana Franková and Hervé Audéon.
