Michal Prokop trio

The acoustic trio of Michal Prokop (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Luboš Andršt (guitar) and Jan Hrubé (violin) has been playing since 1987 as a loose association of three important personalities of the Czech music scene with a solid repertoire, in which, in addition to perfect interplay, they always had great weight improvisation. During Luboš Andršt's long-term health indisposition and subsequent death, he was replaced, as well as in Prokop's "big band" Framus Five, by Andršt's and Prokop's former close collaborator, guitarist Pavel Marcel. Although the trio's repertoire has logically taken on a somewhat different form with the new member, the chemistry between the three musicians is of the same kind, and the mostly club concerts the trio plays are as powerful experiences as they have ever been before.

The repertoire of the trio is a selection of acoustically revised greatest hits of Michal Prokop, some of his songs that Framus Five does not cover, as well as several cover versions, of course especially from the range of Prokop's beloved blues, which he was the only Czech to sing at the world's biggest blues festival, the Chicago Blues Festival.
