A modern Caucasian fairy tale. Traditional Georgian polyphony performed delicately by female singers. Their magical voices, like streams flowing from the mountains, penetrate the heart...
A few years ago, three charming girls from Georgia were "blown up" by the World Wide Web and became stars. This "fairy tale" began on a day when three friends decided to sing a song while walking in the village. They took a selfie video and uploaded it to the internet. This video dramatically changed the girls' lives. Within two weeks, the video was viewed by an audience of many millions.
The popularity of "Trio Mandili" is growing day by day. Today, the group has over 1,300,000 subscribers on Facebook and the same number on YouTube. The name of the group was not chosen by chance. Mandili is a women's headband in the shape of a scarf. Traditionally, women threw a handkerchief on the ground when they wanted to appease a man in a conflict.
The band actively travels around the world, participates in folk music festivals and performs solo concerts. The singers have already visited Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, France, Ukraine, Israel, Poland, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. "Trio Mandili" is a frequent guest on popular TV and radio shows in various countries. Trio Mandili released three albums titled "With Love", "Enguro" and "Sakartvelo". Their lyrical compositions reveal the unique spirit of picturesque Georgia and the breadth of the soul of the Georgian people.
