OČI – Original band with Czech lyrics was formed in 2017 in Jihlava. During her tenure, she performed dozens of concerts in Vysočina and beyond.
With its work, the band is closest to the pop-folk musical style.
OCI will appeal to you with original, melodic piano and violin elements. Triads, which can be found in most songs, also play an important role. At the end of 2019, she released her debut album Víš Proč, this year also a songbook with all original songs. OČI often return to the music studio, they have currently recorded 3 new songs and are preparing a video clip.
In the course of the band's operation, the current line-up was also formed. Frontman Mirek Paleček (13th century, Major Major, Arciskačány) is the author of most of the melodies and the musical basis of OČÍ. Kateřina Kameníková – piano (13th century) creates the basis of musical arrangements and plays the role of lyricist in the latest songs. Jan Molák (3rd third, dulcimer music Tekuté noty) decorates songs not only with playing the violin, but also creates second and third voices. Milan Polreich (Vacuum Ball, Uni band) keeps the band on pace, sets the rhythm with the EYES and simultaneously collaborates on the creation of two and three voices. Pavel Gloza (Acoustic band Liguére) complements the rhythmic base with non-traditional bass lines, which completes the overall atmosphere. Míla Sládek (Řemen, Elixír, Komunál) is the guitarist and main producer of EYES. All the band's recordings were made in his studio in Seč (Benas Recording Studio).
On the occasion of the release of a new video clip, the band is going to celebrate together with the band Svatá voda. They are 2 out of 3 members of the legendary Rock & Roll band Holy water from Amsterdam. They are definitely worth seeing!
