The legendary Mike Stern, one of the best guitarists of his generation. This time he even brings his wife, guitarist Leni Stern, with him!
"Mike is just a bebop wizard, he has an incredible jazz sense. And so it also falls into the genres of rock and blues. He's on both sides of the musical spectrum,” says Grammy-winning producer Jeff Lorber, who combined his sound with Stern's on 2019's Eleven.
Stern is recognized as one of the greatest jazz guitarists of his generation. In 1993, he was named the best jazz guitarist by Guitar player magazine, and in 2009 he was named one of the 75 greatest jazz guitarists of all time.
Leni Stern was chosen by Guitar Player magazine as one of the 50 most sensational female guitarists. The magazine described her as a gamer who defies genre in her quest for adventure! He mixes jazz with West African styles, often travels to Mali and Senegal, where he performs with Salif Keita, among others. Leni says, "Music is one of the truest and most beautiful expressions of the human spirit, it's about crossing boundaries, dissolving tribalism, bringing us together - if we let it."
