Michal Hanuš was born in 1980 in Vrchlabí. His first teacher was Stanislav Skalský. He continued at the Conservatory in Pardubice (1998-2004) in the class of Václav Rabas. From 2004 he was a student of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under Prof. Jan Hora (2004-2007) and Pavel Černý (2007-2008). During his studies, he attended interpretation courses in Prague (Martin Sander), Germany (Harald Vogel, Martin Sander, Ludger Lohmann, Jon Laukvik) and Norway (Guy Bovet). He participated in two internships abroad, in Stuttgart (Ludger Lohmann) and in Oslo (Terje Winge). At the Prague Spring 2006 international competition, he received an Honorable Mention. He collaborated with the organ company Orgelbau-Wech from Bavaria. He devotes himself to concert activities, collaborates with solo players, choirs and occasionally composes (Suite for organ, Fantasia for small organ, Vater unser for soprano and organ).
