Myrddin De Cauter, the youngest son of multi-instrumentalist Koen De Cauter, is a phenomenon in the world of contemporary music. As a teenager he discovered the richness and originality of the flamenco guitar, and after mastering its subtleties, he went to Spain to take lessons with some of the masters of the flamenco guitar: Gerardo Nuñez, Manolo Sanlucar. It turned out that Myrddin is not only a flamenco guitarist, but also an exceptional talent. His technical virtuosity, penchant for experimentation and deep lyrical feeling combine to form a unique musical world. With her latest album "Rosa de Papel" she proves that great flamenco virtuosos do not necessarily come from Spain. Myrddin's daughter Imre, a cellist, debuted with her father at the 2018 Gent Jazz Festival.
