▶︎ Jimmy Whispers (US)
In the 8 years since Jimmy Whispers released their debut LP, a lot has changed for everyone, especially Jimmy himself. In another life, he was the sweet kid from Chicago who stole our hearts with his sassy Midwestern attitude and his knack for writing catchy oldies. Legendary critic Jessica Hopper once called him "the greatest new house music mystery," and he turned an iPhone voice memo mixtape (Summer in Pain) into a deep groove that landed him a Pitchfork Music Festival appearance and earned praise for it. outlet and places like Stereogum, Spin, BrooklynVegan, VICE, NME and many more. If you caught a glimpse, it was exciting, but it was just a play on his second act. As for today, Jimmy Whispers is alive and well in Los Angeles. He still makes music – quite a lot. He has a blossoming new career as a music video director and filmmaker. He co-wrote others, including Drugdealer and Dent May. He's got his sobriety, a newfound determination to make life-affirming art, and a 1988 Buick Reatta. Jimmy Whispers is back with a new LP, The Search For God, out June 9 on Carpark Records. His first album since his 2015 debut was co-produced by Whitney's Ziyad Asrar, and harkens back to some jeweler-era influences that stray from the chill/lo-fi LA indie rock scene he found himself in. Jimmy Whispers' second album was created mostly with two vintage synthesizers, a drum machine and a discarded karaoke machine. Channeling Midwestern emo, the Beach Boys’ Smile subtly nods to the hyper-pop production and forgotten college radio of early jewelry-era students into a pure pop sound that transcends easy categorization.

▶︎ Franzia
Franzie is a music group from Kroměříž, which was formed from the ashes of the former band Superego Kid. The desire to experiment more and float between genres gave space for the creation of Franzia.
The five-member ensemble builds its music on technical and often changing instrumental passages, which intertwine with melodic female vocals and Czech lyrics. Noise surfaces and screams often turn into ambient passages. Urgency, polyrhythms and ferocity are also common features of the musical expression of this quintet.
