Blonde
The singer, whose real name is Eva Suková, has been performing on folk (and not only folk) stages since 2016. Music columnists call her productions "femme-folk", "acting chanson" or "blondfolk".
Songs dealing with essential areas of Blondýna's life (shopping, aerobics, phone calls, love, hipsters, punk,...), she alternates with blond poems during the performance. These are usually two to three lines long and have an uneducative or immoral point.
In addition to her own work, which predominates, her repertoire includes, for example, songs by Bulat Okudžava or Janis Joplin, which she transliterated into Czech. At present, the humorous part of the repertoire is interspersed with more seriously intended compositions, but even in these there is a present insight and a sense of playing with the Czech language.
In 2019 and 2020, she became a finalist in the Prague singing competition Notování, in 2020 she advanced to the national round of Porta do Řevnice.
In 2019, she published a collection of verses "Zabásni m(n)ě", whose godfathers were Jiří Žáček and Miloň Čepelka, this year her children's book "Bububu" was published by the Galén publishing house. He also publishes poems in the literary magazines Tvar and Divoké víno.
In November 2021, she also christened her music album "Nevolej mi do nebe!" (Galén), on which she collaborated, among others, with the excellent guitarist Norbi Kovács. The record was included among the 20 best albums of the year in the Proglas radio ranking.
In civilian life, Eva Suková teaches Literary-Drama at the Basic Art School in Rakovník.
