It all started with dreams and stories that guitarist Asya made up. She always imagined them as movies, until one day the soundtrack to the movies was born in her head, i.e. the first songs of the band Bottled Fish. Fascination with music, playing with reshaping the form of songs and genres, a combination of indie-rock, alternative, a pinch of psychedelia and synth-wav is the duo formed by Asya Shakurová and Nikita Zhitnikov.
She comes from Kazan, Tatarstan, Nikita from Kazakhstan, pianist Anton Saller from Ukraine completes the band. They have been on the scene since 2019, they have played dozens of club and festival concerts. In 2020, they released their debut EP No One, in the media they were compared to Nierica or Air.
This year they released a new single and a music video Covenant with a bright sixties psychedelic line. Covenant heralds the release of their first full-length record, Dreams Lie, which will be released in early 2023.
From the media:
"The first EP of Prague's Bottled Fish with four songs evokes a couple of indie rock names like Nierika. A special atmosphere, it was rainy in Hong Kong. A decent start.”

"Bottled Fish tempts me to classify the name of the band and the first song in the box of sad-rainy mood music. However, the truth is a little different. Right from the opening song, they reveal that this is very dark atmospheric guitar music. The mood here is really sad. With an occasional touch of dark blues psychedelia, Bottled Fish can be reminiscent of Air, Beck or bands from the classic canon (Cream, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young). The English in the songs on the "No one" EP is beyond my expectations... Bottled Fish's music itself can be perceived as precisely played indie-rock, which will surely find its fans..."
