Steven's
Steven's from Karlovy Vary is winning one blues show after another - they excelled by winning the talent competition of the Blues Alive festival in Šumperk called Blues Aperitiv, and scored points at the Czech Blues Challenge in May. However, this does not mean that it does not belong to a festival that has "groove" in its name. On stage, the band, led by the young multi-instrumental talent Štěpán Kordík, knows how to unpack it really well. Especially when he can lean on an energetic brass section.
The young formation from the west of Bohemia has so far released one studio album (it's called Runnin' Man) and one concert recording. On both of them, it's clear that the blues is basically just a formula for Steven's, which they handle in their own way, with youthful energy and audacity that can tear down even the biggest bullies. That's exactly what happened both at Blues Alive and this March, when they preceded blues legend Walter Trout. And as much as we certainly don't want to predict, it will certainly conquer the Brno audience.
At Groove Brno, where they will play on November 27, 2024 at the home festival stage of Kabinet múz, they will also bring material from their second studio album, which was produced by Miroslav Chyška, including guitarist J.A.R. or Dan Bárta's teammate.

Kudla from Brno
Kudla from Brno, i.e. a Brno singer-songwriter with a band in a box - as he describes himself. Martin Kudlička founded the bands Lidopop or Zadáci, but he made a name for himself in the minds of listeners without them ever having heard his name. He wrote the lyrics for the album Tulák po hvéztá by the Brno legend Progres 2 or for the new album of the big band B-Side Band Tam a zpět, he also collaborated with the composer Petr Skoumal.
As Kudla from Brno, Martin Kudlička gets by with just his voice, guitar and looper. This gives him an amazing freedom to communicate with the audience. He can go practically anywhere, where the mood of the moment and the mood of the listeners take him. As part of Groove Brno, he will play at Metro Music Bar on November 27 and promises a special set tailored to the festival.
