JAY DELVER
The five-member multi-genre band from Brno, Jay Delver, started performing in 2015. Although its line-up changed continuously, the main person in the band remains the singer and composer Jakub Urbanek (piano/vocals/saxophone). The group's music evokes the soul of the organic sound of the 70s and 90s of the last century, enriched with modern pop likability, funk rhythms and rock mojo interwoven with spontaneous improvisation, and sees its influence in talents from Billy Joel to Elton John to Harry Styles.
In recent years, Jay Delver has collected the most powerful concert experiences - all of them can be cited as performances at Mendel Fest, Groove Brno, Besed u Bigbít or Hradecky Solstice. There has already been an expansion outside the Czech Republic, specifically at the Nisville Jazz Festival in Serbia and a concert for the Czech Center in Paris, which they visited thanks to the first place in the Jazzfruit competition.
