The Body & Dis Fig found common ground in trying to rethink and define what it means to make "heavy music". Their debut album Orchards of a Futile Heaven is a perfect synthesis of the two forces. The Body & Dis Fig combine a brooding melody over which they layer textures of dense distortion with intense beats and with a soaring voice they claw their way to redemption.
