JFB 2023: Diana Krall

During her festival premiere in 2017, singer and pianist Diana Krall confirmed that she can create a spontaneous and immediate party atmosphere even in the sports hall. Now she is returning to Brno, and we can look forward to the fact that the experience of the charismatic Canadian's concert will be even more intense at the Bobycentr.
With her early bop pianistic style and elegant, sensual singing, Diana Krall flew into the jazz world in the second half of the 1990s like a hurricane. To the world in which the Young Lions ruled at the time, the young lions that supported the publishing house of the then still thriving audio industry. Since these wooden days, Diana Krall has moved not only interpretatively, but also authorially, and today no one can deny that, in addition to her instrumental skills and enchanting voice, she also lacks the dimension of an unadulterated and engaging singer-songwriter. Since 1996, she has been nominated ten times for the Grammy Award, twice turning the nomination into a victory, in 2009 the prestigious magazine Billboard declared her the second most important jazz personality of the first decade of the current millennium.
