JAZZFESTBRNO celebrates 20 years of existence with a festival in the festival. At the end of August, in the premises of the Theatre Husa na Provázku with two halls and an open air stage, the Elizabethan stage will be presented mainly by the top domestic jazz, which has gradually appeared at the festival over the past twenty years.
Projects of a more intimate nature will be given space in the cellar scene. Multi-instrumentalist Jiří Slavík will perform on it, both as a soloist and with the band The Survivors, as well as solo saxophonist Pavel Zlámal, guitarist David Dorůžka in the project with drummer Scott McLemor and cellist and singer Dorota Barová with her trio. The Elizabethan court will present the eclectic Janoušek-Wróblewski Quartet, the unchartable Muff and also Zorba že já Buddha fusing electronics with music with African-American roots. The large hall of the theater will be occupied by Jaromír Honzák, Emil Viklický, Pavel Hrubý, Yvonne Sanchez from the main stage and the great hope of Czech jazz Cotatcha Orchestra with guest Lenka Dusilová. The musical experiences will be complemented by an exhibition by the festival's court photographer Martin Zeman and another accompanying program.
