Ivo SPYDER Křižan was born in Brno. He emigrated from the former Czechoslovakia to the USA.
The guitar enchanted him at the age of eight and became a lifelong love. The Romani guitar virtuoso had the first and fundamental influence on him
János.
In Germany, Ivo won the audition for solo guitar in the musicals HAIR and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. In HAIR, he met Donna Gates Summer, who later hired him as a studio guitarist to record her R&B songs. He also performed with the Scottish band Middle Of The Road and jammed for 5 hours with the band Deep Purple
after their Munich concert at Circus Krone.
Before leaving for the USA, he toured with Udo Jurgens.
In the USA, he spent 8 years playing only in black groups and became famous as the first white and European! guitarist in exclusively black bands.
He was hired by the Hells Angels and his residency in Texas
considers it one of the special chapters of his music school of life.
