The 42+PEOPLE project of the contemporary dance company 420PEOPLE celebrates the intergenerational dialogue of dancers. It brings a unique and at the same time intimate look at the peak of the dance career of the performers after 42 years. The premiere of the show WHERE, the 42+PEOPLE project, which will connect all the values of contemporary dance, was presented by the ensemble on 11/19/2022 in Studio Maiselovka. The choreography featured a pair of Czech dancers aged 42+. The pilot year was started by Helena Arenbergerová and Václav Kuneš.
The Thalia Award 2023 in the field of DANCE went to Helena Arenbergerová for her solo role in the performance 42+PEOPLE: WHERE. "In the choreography of the duet 42+PEOPLE: Where, which was based on her joint work with Václav Kuneš, she literally fascinates us with her perfectly mastered movement. The duet plays out the intimacy between the two in a purely personal dance statement, without cliches, without annotations. She creates an image full of unfathomable tension from the proximity of two strangers, through contemporary dance, which is a completely natural and perfect means of expression for Helena Arenbergerová."
