Triple concert of legends: The Animals and Friends (UK), Creedence Clearwater Revived (UK), Flamengo (CZ)

For January 2025, the Brnokoncert agency is preparing a series of unique concerts where three true legends will come together. In one evening, the successors of the famous The Animals - The Animals and Friends, and Creedence Clearwater Revived, who spread the legacy of John Fogerty's band Creedence Clearwater Revival, will perform on the same stage. These rare foreign guests will be supported by one of the most important rock groups in Czech history - the band Flamengo.

The Animals is originally a rhythm&blues and rock band from the 60s. Arguably the most stylish British group started as the Alan Price Combo in Newcastle, where they played regularly every Saturday at the packed Downbeat Club. After Eric Burdon took over as lead singer, they relocated to the fancier A-Go-Go club and changed their name to The Animals in early 1964. Then they performed in clubs in and around London. Many of the band's hits topped the English and American charts. After two albums - The Animals and Animals Track - Alan Price left the group in May 1965.

Since 2003, the band has been performing under the name The Animals and Friends and is made up of the co-founder of the original band, John Steel, who is joined by Danny Handley, Roberto Ruiz and Barney Williams. Songs like The House of the Rising Sun and Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood will be performed live, which brought worldwide fame to the group ranked next to the Beatles and the Rolling Stones among the jewels of British music.

The British band Creedence Clearwater Revived enjoys great popularity in the Czech Republic and regularly performs concerts here. Their performances will transport you to the time of the Woodstock festival, i.e. to the time when the original band Creedence Clearwater Revival existed. His line-up consisted of guitarist and lyricist John Forgety, guitarist Tom Fogerty, bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug Clifford. Brothers Band and Steve Ray Vaughan), but they no longer perform today.

The concert features all of CCR's greatest hits live, including Have You Ever Seen The Rain, Fortunate Son, Bad Moon Rising, Proud Mary, Green River, Looking At My Back Door, Who'll stop the rain, Suzie Q and I Put a Spell On You.

The Czech band Flamengo made an indelible mark in music history with the album Kuře v hodinkyk (1972), which according to many critics is the best rock album of all time in our country. It belongs to the most important domestic groups next to E.T.C. Vladimír Mišík and Framus 5 by Michal Prokop. The band currently consists of Pavel Fořt (guitar), Vladimír "Guma" Kulhánek (bass guitar), Jan Holeček (Hammond B3, vocals), Jiří "Zelí" Zelenka (drums, vocals) and Vladimír Boryš Secký (saxophone and flute, vocals) .
