Bratři Ebenová – a band of three Ebenová brothers (Marek, Kryštof, David) and other leading Czech musicians (Pavel Skála, Jaromír Honzák and Jiří Zelenka). In concert, they play a cross-section of their work from the first album Small Songs in the Dark (1984) to the latest Čas holin (2014), which is more and more up-to-date in its content.
At the time of the release of the first album "Malé písné do tmy" (1984), the band worked as a brother trio - Marek, Kryštof and David, and they were quite unique in their approach on the Czech music scene. The sons of the prominent music composer Petr Eben (1929 – 2007) received a classical musical education, but at the same time absorbed the influences of modern folk, jazz and rock music. With his ability to draw from all these sources and the art of using various unusual musical instruments, he created an absolutely non-traditional, inimitable "ebony sound" on the Czech scene. In addition, in connection with Marko's exceptional lyrics, the Eben Brothers were and still are unique on the Czech music scene.
