Double concert of Czech legends again in Brno!
Thursday, October 26, 2023 in Brno's Sono Center will belong to fans of Czech rock music. Two long-proven groups - Turbo and Kern - will perform here. Bands have been active on the Czech music scene since the early 1980s, and their work was influenced by the pop rock greats of that time. They will play exciting concerts in Brno, which will include all the greatest hits of both groups.
The group Turbo, which currently consists of Míra Chrástka, Jirka Lang, Petr Šťastný and, since 2018, Karel Mecner (in place of Martin Laul), performed in the Sono Center under the banner of the Brnokoncert agency back in 2016, when they preceded the glam rock band Slade. Míra Chrástek, who replaced the late Richard Kybic, has been the band's frontman since 2002, and under his leadership a number of albums were released, the last of which "Night Predators" saw the light of day in the fall of 2020. The following year they celebrated their 40th anniversary .
The five-piece group Kern formed from 1978 before its line-up settled in 1981. From this, it is easy to calculate that next year the band will celebrate 45 years on the scene. Of course, they celebrated their 40th birthday with a string of concerts and also the release of the Quadragint album with a selection of songs from 1978-2018. The CD thus pays tribute not only to the fans, but also to the entire constellation of musicians who passed through Kern.
The post of singer is currently occupied by the tattooed hottie Michal Konečný. The line-up also consists of: Robi Křupka and Sláva Karásek on guitars, bass guitar – Iva Pospíšilová, drums – Stanislav Fric.
