BCO EXPANDS THE REALITY OF BESEDNÍ DOM / EXPOSITION OF NEW MUSIC

The Brno Contemporary Orchestra is dedicated to contemporary music with overlaps with other art forms. For the festival, he prepared a project dedicated to music's ability to comment on and expand reality with the help of its immanent means. In the walls of Besední dom there are bricks from Kohn's brick factory, whose employees built the Stone Colony. Using a collage of legendary compositions of the twentieth century and a premiere composition by Michal Nejtek, the BCO will try to expand the reality of the Besední dom with the historical and contemporary sound of the Stone Colony. Hyperprism by Edgard Varése, Workers Union by Luis Andriesen and the world premiere of a composition by Michal Nejtek and literary dramaturg Radim Nejedlý will be performed.
