musical comedy about a crisis in interpersonal relationships, European premiere

The performance is non-stop!

What can happen on a first blind date? What to talk about? About work, about former partners, about your own fears, disappointments? Isn't it crazy: to think about whether the other person is good enough for you and if you are good enough for the other person - while trying to have fun? And most importantly - who ultimately has to pay the bill?

The charming and tender musical comedy by three young American authors was played to great acclaim seven years ago on Broadway, and later its successful travels led to Tokyo, Buenos Aires and Melbourne. In addition to the catchy and melodic songs, the distinctive form of this inventive chamber musical was undoubtedly to blame. On the first date of the sweetly shy manager Aaron and the attractively strong "tough girl" Casey, all the "voices in the head" that both longing for love bring with them to the meeting speak in an original way. Whether it's Casey's sister with her talk about the ticking biological clock and Casey's bad taste in men, or Aaron's ex-girlfriend Allison, who represents a permanent marital trauma for him. Add to that an angry Reggie, Casey's gay friend, ready to "cut" Casey out of a failed date on the phone, or maybe Aaron's Jewish family choir coming to warn him in his fantasy about getting close to a girl of a different faith. It is then clear that it is made for clever entertainment, in which - even if it doesn't seem like it at first - it is finally confirmed that opposites really do attract...

This elegantly entertaining romantic comedy, which we present in the European premiere, was directed by the director of our theater Stanislav Moša.
