F Scene 2023
Baroši Mariana Friedla is a musical project that forms the jazz core of the successful ensemble Beránci a vlci (the album of the same name won the Anděl 2017 music award), supplemented by the folk singer from Slovakia Petra Jelénková. The repertoire includes folk and original songs rooted in the traditional music of the Western Carpathians and is based on the released music albums Wild Geese (2016), Báránci a vlci (2016), 11 Forms of Love (2020), Ruky na dudách (2021), Flétny nad Oslavou (2022) ). Stylistically, the expression of the project is straddling folk, folklore, jazz and world music. The leader and founder of the band is Marian Friedl - musician, ethnomusicologist, pedagogue, arranger, composer, member of several musical projects of different focus, in which he sings, plays double bass, folk flutes, bagpipes, clarinet, small dulcimer and other instruments.
