The Easter season is charming in how brilliantly it manages to connect Christian and pagan traditions combined in one case with the resurrection of Jesus Christ and in the other with the carefree welcome of spring. In our case, the first, spiritual aspect is represented by the Stabat Mater of the excellent Welsh composer Karl Jenkins (he is also the author of the Adiemus project, for example). The composition from 2008 has two characteristic positions - classical and ethnic, the latter is particularly represented by the singer Iva Bittová and Ondřej Vaníček with the magical shakuhachi flute. From this point of view, the compositions Zdenek Merta Klaunovo jarní popodne and Over the Horizon (Concerto for Nine Fingers) belong more to worldly joys or the old Slavic customs of seeing off Morana and welcoming her sister Vesna. Both compositions were created in 2021. Twelve-year-old pianist Klára Gibišová is the winner and star of many children's competitions, the unconventional Vilém Veverka is one of the best European oboists.
