musical comedy

The musical was based on the legendary film Someone Likes It Hot with Marilyn Monroe. It's unbelievable, but the film was first screened almost sixty years ago, in 1959. The musical of the same name was an extraordinary success in the world, and in December 2008 it was also brought to the city theater in Ljubljana, Slovenia by director Stanislav Moša. He has now also directed the production in our theater.

Two poor musicians happen to be involved in a mafia gang war. They are being persecuted and have no choice but to hide safely. They change into women's clothes and get a job at a band leaving for a tour of Miami Beach. Florida is becoming a unique opportunity for homeless musicians to get the mafia out of sight ... But their crazy adventure is far from over! Thanks to their disguise, they experience countless comic situations, and to make matters worse, both of our heroes fall in love with a magical singer and ukulele player named Sugar. As if all this wasn't enough, one of our charming musicians in a women's robe is asked for an elderly millionaire's hand ...
Note: Tobacco products are used in the performance.

Of course, there is no smoking in the public areas of the Brno City Theater. In the case of the use of tobacco products on the stage within the prescribed acting action, it is a work of art that enjoys the protection of inviolability in the sense of copyright law. A cigarette is thus considered a prop. The use of cigarettes, even electronic ones, in already performed performances is considered an artistic effect that cannot yet be replaced. This is not about smoking cigarettes or other tobacco products, but about the artistic representation of this activity.
