EDUCATIONAL CONCERT

The educational concert of the chamber group Moravia Brass Band popularizes the playing of brass instruments among young listeners. The concert not only presents basic brass instruments, such as trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba, but also related ones – piccolo trumpet, flugelhorn, euphonium, tenor tuba and others, but also shows the instruments in their natural environment. This means that it brings children a multi-genre overlap of these interesting instruments using unique arrangements of classical, film, jazz and folk music. The aim is also to include connections between Czech wind music and the so-called Balkan music, which is an inherent part of brass instruments, and at the same time draws attention to the fact that music is all around us. Jiří Kokmotos presents the concert engagingly and there is a brass section that underlines the atmosphere of the entire concert.
