Klipers (Baptism) | Two Headed Boy
Klipers is a musical project that moves at the interface of synthfolk, post-trap-rock and electronica, but its roots go deep into the songwriting tradition. Intimate dark wave poetry and at the same time a uniquely present Czech-Slovakian soul, which in connection with loops and drum sequences becomes a strong bearer of emotions and personal statements. The new album "Vysílá Stanice Hvězda" is released on 21.3. on digital media and all streaming platforms Facebook or Spotify.
Dvouhlavý Kluk is the band of musician and lyricist Vojtěch Černý, who combines alternative music and poetry in his work. In 2019, he released an album called Things People Do, produced by Dominik Zezula.
Amelie Siba | Čáry života
Amelie Siba is a musician and composer originally from Prague. Her latest album Gently Double A - released in April 2023 creates a collage of lo-fi samples, dirty guitars and layered angry vocals. In his latest projects, Siba opens up the topics of healing trauma, looking at oneself and anger. Although her previous work was known for a very intimate nature and has now moved into a more aggressive/assertive realm with a dirtier sound, vulnerability is still a major element of her work.
Cáry života "Slow and sad songs about love." This is how musician Jan Boroš, originally from Valašské Meziříčí, characterizes his new project. His home band is Fiordmoss, currently based in Berlin, who are preparing a new album for spring. Unlike their electronic baroque, however, Cáry života is more minimalistic, more intimate and, above all, more guitar-based and also with Czech lyrics. The debut album Stínítko won the 2018 Apollo award of the Czech music critics.

The residents of the brick house combine the sound of a classical piano with a punk, even metal-tuned rhythmic component and female vocals. Genre dispersion covers a wide range - from chanson tenderness, through jazz playfulness to punk urgency. OCD play both straightforward (and rather hard) burners and more complicated prog-rock songs, interspersed with frantic rhythmic changes. In the author's texts, written in Czech, the band focuses on stories of people from the fringes of society, horror themes, or fears about the end of civilization.
Bad Karma Boy | VDYD
Bad Karma Boy After seven years of waiting, the band Bad Karma Boy has released a new album Noc Na Zemi. In one of the interviews, they once said that the word "path" often appears in their texts. In its own way, it also symbolizes the process of creating the new album, which was created on two continents. Ideas gradually came from rehearsals in Bratislava, at cottages, but also on trips to Portugal and the Croatian islands. All of them eventually materialized into their final form in a magical studio in Costa Rica. VDYD VDYD is an indie post-rock guitar band. Like a boy band of overserving models, they took apart musical instruments and created a concept in which guitar arpeggios and eccentric surface synths roll over a dense rhythmic corpus with a melodic bass. Weaned from the nineties, they sail through the guitar waves of today.
The Atavists | Midnight Swimmers
The Atavists are the winners of two Anděl 2018 awards. They are a four-member musical project balancing on the border between blues, stoner-rock and the influences of surf bands from the sixties. The characteristic sound of the group consists of dirty guitars, cracked retro organ and distinctive vocal performance of frontman Adam Krofian. In 2015, the group managed to win the national round of the GBOB international competition, and at the beginning of 2016 they released their debut album Bad Times, and in 2018 they succeeded with the album LO-FI LIFE (Big Boss label) in two categories of the Anděl music awards. The Atavists are a Czech rock band influenced by surf and stoner styles. They were formed at the end of 2014 and quickly found their place on the Czech music scene, especially thanks to their energetic live performances.

Warm summer nights, the solitude of empty rooms, but also the joy of discovering the unknown. Prazdniny are friends from Brno who started transforming quarantine sadness into songs about separation and coming of age. he packs it all into a sound that oscillates between a bedroom alternative pop aesthetic and a rediscovered love of dreamy guitars set in a modern context. entered the Czech scene with the video single 3am, with which they managed to win the hit parade of undiscovered starters on wave radio. then they released the single matthew under the banner of radio, followed by the ep lately i've been getting tired in autumn 2023. on it, the gaps are presented in a band sound with a live drummer, which in conjunction with analog synths creates a unique concert show.
Marjar
The work of singer-songwriter Marjari is characterized by layers of guitar sequences recorded on a looper accompanied by samples. Everything is complemented by the singer's fragile, clear voice. Marjari released her debut LP Hey Girl in 2022, which was preceded by the EP Let's Ride (2021). She subsequently performed dozens of concerts with the band, the growing success among listeners was confirmed by the victory of the Startér Radio Wave hit parade. On the album Hey Girl, the author, as on the previous songs, is based on her personal experiences, feelings and moods, relationships both friendly and partner. The mixture of intimate songs, despite the uniform author's handwriting and captivating voice, brings a diverse palette of moods and atmospheres, from tenderness and romanticism, through melancholy to a harder approach. Thanks to the win, Marjari got on the stages of many Czech and Slovak clubs and festivals (such as Moody Moon Noize, the Krumlov festival, the Festival for the Jewish Quarter of Boskovice, Beseda u Bigbítu, etc.), she also performed in the Hungarian clubs Akvárium and Gödör music club. She released the single Only a Dream in 2023, and is currently working on a new album.
Island Mint
Prague band Island Mint plays indie rock in various forms with references to 60s sunshine pop, but also a dose of psychedelia or shoegaze. Island Mint, a band that has been a revelation on the Prague scene since 2021. A combination of 60s sunshine pop and garage rock with references to 90s shoegaze. From the whimsical pop on the Island Mint EP (2021) and through the surreal indie album Irreality (2022), the band of frontman Matyáš Adámek released the kraut-tinged All Studium No Punctum EP in 2023, where the music took on sharper features. For the fourth year in a row, the five-member band has been successfully convincing audiences in Czech and foreign clubs and festivals "that the sun really shines." The judges of Czeching Radio Wave, who sent the band to Eurosonic Noorderslag 2024, also woke up to this.
Omnion is the solo project of composer, multi-instrumentalist and tabla player Tomáš Reindl. Omnion defines its distinctive style "OmniBeat" as a unique combination of live instruments with interactive electronics. In his clearly recognizable author's handwriting, inspiration from the ancient roots of Eastern and Western music is combined with sophisticated approaches to live processing and looping. His overlaps range from electro-acoustic downtempo, to world-beat, to ecstatic dance music with positive deep vibes. In addition to club and festival performances, Omnion has also performed a number of performances in temple premises, with a meditatively tuned program. Omnion creates music not only for listening, but also for dancing, which he perceives as an archetypal human need.
Marcel Gidote’s Holy Crab | Blve Velvet
Czech psychedelic band founded in 2019, which mixes influences of rock, kraut and jazz with a modern sound. The current five members are Jan Bukovjan - vocals, tenor saxophone, flute, clarinet and backing guitar, Ondřej Vávra - vocals and guitar, Viktor Eberle - vocals, keyboards and synthesizers, Marek Sobota - bass and Matěj Šolc - drums. MGHC released their debut EP titled Bay Of Roots in 2020 on the independent Czech label Polí5. Then, they began a collaboration with manager Šárka Hlaváčková that continues to this day, and in 2021, the band released their first full-length album Humidity Breaking Limits on their own, moving towards a more complex and heavier musical expression. The next album from spring 2023, titled Farm Alarm, is based on more vocal parts, acoustic guitar and synthesizers and acts as a striking reminder of our planet's climate crisis. This was followed by two more singles (Felina, Giant Stabs) and in October 2023 the band experienced their first European tour, in November 2024 a second one.
Kill The Dandies! | Blind Künstler
KILL THE DANDIES! is a music group formed in Prague in 2007 and consists of La Petite Sonja (Sonja Kröhn), Hank J. Manchini, Vratislav Placheta, Petr Janák and Gregor von Kolofon. From the beginning, they have been based on post-punk roots and are inspired by garage and psychedelic rock in their work, with significant overlaps with other genres.
Labasheeda (NL) | Bare Escape
Labasheeda is a quirky rock quartet from Amsterdam. Bringing together two decades of adventurous, sonically evolving albums and shifting line-ups, Labasheeda's music has a penchant for concise, stripped-down melodies and quick transitions from spacious basslines and drums to heavy, chaotic and sometimes anthemic guitar songs. The unorthodox use of violins, often deviant time signatures and Saskie van der Giessen's distinctive voice give the band a unique sound.
